Cost preview before paid rendering
Plan the video first. Approve generation second.
Start with a prompt or supported source, review the planned provider and cost boundary, then inspect the generated result before anything can be published.
Paid video generation should not be a mystery button. Poster separates planning from rendering: it prepares a reviewable generation plan, shows the selected managed provider, planned attempts, maximum estimated provider cost, and allowance or credit impact, then waits for approval.
Generated media remains a draft. Poster validates the returned media container and records provider-job state, but a person still decides whether the creative result is accurate, usable, and ready for a connected social account.
What it does
Planning before spending
Prepare and review the generation request without treating a prompt as permission to incur provider cost.
Visible cost boundary
See the planned attempts, maximum estimated provider cost, and allowance or credit impact before approval.
Managed providers
Poster uses configured provider connections; customer BYOK is not currently offered.
Duplicate-job protection
Uncertain provider submissions are reconciled by job identity instead of blindly creating a second paid render.
Media validation
Returned media is checked for the expected safe video container and basic technical validity before it is treated as ready.
Human creative review
Technical validation cannot prove brand accuracy, factual claims, or creative quality. The result stays reviewable.
How it works
01
Describe the result
Enter a bounded prompt or use a supported input flow.
02
Review the plan
Check the proposed mode, provider, attempts, maximum estimated cost, and plan impact.
03
Approve paid generation
Only an explicit approved action can start the provider job.
04
Track the provider job
Poster records the provider identity and reconciles uncertain status before considering another paid attempt.
05
Review the media
Inspect the generated result. Technical success is not the same as creative approval.
06
Choose the next action
Keep, revise, or attach the approved result to a post for eligible connected targets.
The technical bit
A maximum estimate is a boundary, not an invoice promise
Poster shows the estimated maximum provider exposure for the proposed attempts before rendering. Actual provider billing and final media availability can still depend on the provider response. The cost ledger records the job and outcome for reconciliation.
Retries do not mean unlimited free rerenders
Paid attempts and estimated cost are capped. Poster checks an existing provider job when its status is uncertain and preserves successful intermediate work where supported. A new creative attempt requires the applicable allowance or credit.
Technical checks cannot approve creative truth
Container, duration, and processing checks can reject broken media. They cannot confirm that a product looks correct, a person consented, a claim is true, or a brand is represented accurately. Human review remains required.

Does entering a prompt immediately spend money?+
The planning flow is separate from paid rendering. Poster shows the generation boundary and waits for the applicable approval before starting the provider job.
Which provider will be used?+
The available managed provider and mode are shown in the generation plan. Availability can change with configuration and provider health, so the current plan is the source of truth.
Can I bring my own Runway or OpenAI key?+
Not today. Poster currently uses managed provider connections rather than customer BYOK.
What happens if a provider request times out?+
Poster retains the provider-job identity and checks that job before treating the status as a new generation. It does not intentionally submit a duplicate paid job merely because the first response was uncertain.
Does a successful render publish automatically?+
No. Generated media remains reviewable. Publishing or scheduling is a separate action through eligible connected targets.
Poster stays standalone
